Auditions
RWU的舞蹈 & 表演研究课程 welcomes all students interested in movement studies to audition for our Dance Major. Our majors (many of whom are double majors) receive the training and mentorship they need to refine their personal styles, 艺术的选择, 和专门化.
Our faculty – all active professionals in the field – train technically proficient, 创造性地独立, 专业适应性强的舞者. They nurture each student’s interests and goals – while sharing their professional expertise and networks.
The majority of RWU dance majors move toward careers in dance. 我们的校友都是专业的表演者, educators, 舞蹈指导, and small business owners – employed by dance and theater companies, 培训工作室, 竞争电路, K-12私立和公立学校, 以及大学舞蹈课程.
Our students also use their liberal arts education to combine their dance training with additional fields that interest them. Many become clinical mental health counselors and dance therapists, 或者是在多年的体育教育基础上变得更健壮, 职业, 或者按摩师——他们也跳舞. 其他人则成为了私人教练, 瑜伽教练, 普拉提教练, 或者其他身体的身体工作者——他们也跳舞.
